ATLANTA — A long-running Chick-fil-A inside Buckhead’s Terminus 100 office complex is closing Friday after 18 years in business.

Atlanta News First reported Thursday that the restaurant off Peachtree Road will shut its doors July 31, according to a statement from the Atlanta-based chain. Chick-fil-A did not publicly detail the business reason for the closure. The company pointed customers to its larger freestanding restaurant at 3234 Peachtree Road NE — about a quarter-mile away — which remains open.

What the company said

In language published by Atlanta News First, Chick-fil-A said guests can “continue to enjoy the same delicious food, care and signature hospitality they know and love” at the nearby freestanding store. No employee headcount, lease-expiration detail, or redevelopment plan for the Terminus suite appeared in the initial local report.

Office-tower food courts and lobby restaurants across Buckhead have spent the post-pandemic years adjusting to hybrid occupancy. A flagship QSR brand exiting an 18-year footprint is still a notable retail signal on the Peachtree corridor, even when a larger company-owned or franchise unit sits minutes away.

Why Terminus matters on the map

Terminus 100 sits in the core Buckhead office node where Peachtree Road office workers, residential towers, and MARTA’s Buckhead Station catchment overlap. Lunch traffic at tower-embedded chicken counters often tracks badge swipes more than weekend retail. When those patterns soften, landlords and operators renegotiate — or exit — even for brands with deep Atlanta roots.

The freestanding Peachtree location’s survival underscores a familiar metro pattern: drive-thru and dedicated-pad formats outlasting inline office-amenity slots when midday office demand thins.

What customers should know Friday

  • Final day of service at the Terminus 100 Chick-fil-A is Friday, July 31, per Atlanta News First
  • The 3234 Peachtree Road NE restaurant remains the company’s pointed alternative
  • Expect possible last-day lines from regulars and office workers grabbing a final order
  • No separate company timeline for a replacement concept in the Terminus space was included in Thursday’s report

WACN 21 will update if Chick-fil-A or Terminus ownership release staffing, lease, or backfill details beyond the initial closure notice.
