BronzeLens Film Festival opens Wednesday
The BronzeLens Film Festival of Atlanta, a festival dedicated to films by and about people of color, opens Wednesday, July 22 with a slate that runs through Sunday at the Rialto Center for the Arts at Georgia State University downtown. The opening night film is followed by a Q&A and reception. BronzeLens, founded in 2008, has grown into one of the Southeast’s largest Black film festivals, with more than 80 films programmed across the five days, including narrative features, documentaries, shorts, and a student track.

Braves Kids Club Day: Daniel Tiger at Truist Park — Thursday
Members of the Atlanta Braves Kids Club get a Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood-themed morning at Truist Park on Thursday, July 23. The program includes a meet-and-greet with Daniel Tiger, Miss Elaina, and Katerina Kittycat, giveaways, player appearances, and a chance to run the bases. A light breakfast is included.
The event runs from 9 a.m. to noon before that evening’s game against the San Diego Padres at 7:15 p.m. Kids Club memberships are available at the Truist Park ticket office and online.
Zoo Atlanta’s Kids Night Out — Friday
Zoo Atlanta hosts Kids Night Out on Friday, July 24, a parents’-night-out program for children ages 5 to 12 that includes animal encounters, themed crafts, a pizza dinner, and a supervised walk through the African savanna exhibit after hours. The program runs 6 to 10 p.m. and is $55 per child for non-members, $45 for members.

Historic Roswell Photography Competition & Exhibit opens Wednesday
The Historic Roswell Photography Competition & Exhibit opens at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center on Wednesday, July 22, with 48 photographs selected from a statewide competition running through November 18. Subjects include Roswell’s historic district, the Chattahoochee River, and a summer-long portrait series of working artists in the city’s studios.
Admission is free. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with extended evening hours during First Friday events.
Summer Movie Series at The Mill on Etowah — Wednesday
The Mill on Etowah in Canton kicks off its summer-long outdoor movie series on Wednesday, July 22, with a free screening on the lawn. The series runs through August 26 with family-friendly titles rotating weekly. Food trucks are on site; bring blankets or low chairs.
